Jack Handy

Saw this quote on my friend’s Facebook status:

“One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to DisneyLand, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. “Oh, no,” I said, “DisneyLand burned down.” He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real DisneyLand, but it was getting pretty late.”

Which made me laugh which led me to Google which led me to a whole slew of quotes that made my day at work quite unproductive. Thank you Jack Handy, SNL and your “Deep Thoughts” sketches

This makes it hard to plan the day.”- EB White in a New York Times interview

In the past, my friends have offered to buy me books full of quotes.

So it’s only fitting that I subscribe to this blog: http://quote-book.tumblr.com/

Is it weird that I was ecstatic to discover it? Maybe, but I don’t care.
