Happy Birthday

Dear Dad,

Happy birthday! I think today would be your 62nd birthday. To be honest, I’m actually not sure because I don’t remember the year you were born so I just went off mom’s birthday. That’s what I think it is. I haven’t really thought about your birthday in quite some time but I thought this year I would. A lot has happened in my life since the last time we talked. I’m a little curious to see what I’ll be thinking when I’m 80 years old.

Chances are, I’ll probably look back at my life now and say to myself “Diana, what the hell were you thinking about [enter dozens of situations that end in different ways]”

I’m a little excited to see how I’ll reflect back on my life. But in the meantime, I’m going to try my best to enjoy it.
